Frequently asked questions

How do I access my client portal?

Once you schedule your first appointment, you’ll receive an email invitation to create your secure client portal through SimplePractice. From there, you can:

  • Fill out intake forms

  • View upcoming appointments

  • Send secure messages

  • Join Telehealth sessions if applicable

  • Manage billing and invoices

You can log in to your portal anytime on the Client Portal tab or by clicking on the link here:

How do I get started?

You can book a free 15-minute consultation so I can answer questions and learn more about your therapy goals. You can book your first 15 minute consultation by contacting me via telephone at (907) 419-2677 or you can fill out the Contact Form.

I look forward to connecting with you

Is therapy confidential?

Absolutely, yes! Therapy is confidential. There are a few exceptions related to safety and legal obligations, which I’ll explain further during our first session. But therapy is confidential and I will always be honest and transparent with you about confidentiality in therapy

What if I’ve never done therapy before?

It is completely normal to feel nervous or unsure at first. It is incredibly brave to take these first steps and show up for yourself. Part of my job is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where we will go at your own pace.

Are sessions virtual or in-person?

Telehealth services are currently offered through SimplePractice for adolescents (12+) and adults of all ages, providing flexible and accessible care wherever you are in Alaska

In-person therapy in Juneau for children (ages 6+), teens, and adults TBD. Join the waitlist through the Contact Us form and/or Contact Tab or check back soon for updates

Do you work with children and families?

Yes I do! Part of working with children ages 6+ is working with parents and guardians, and their involvement in therapy is very important. Please feel free to reach out to learn more.

What is your cancellation policy?

24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed or late cancellations may be charged a late cancellation fee of $100
